ABOUT U.S.
FLOOD CONTROL CORP. |
U.S. Flood Control Corp. is embarking on an exciting
venture with the hope of becoming a world leader in emergency flood
control.
It is our intention to get rid of sandbags completely
and replace them with the safe use of the emergency flood protection
system in the prevention of floods. Attitudes toward flood prevention
in the U.S. are changing quickly so that our tubes are becoming
as common as the chain link fence. Our water diversion system is
the answer to emergency preparedness -- whether it is to protect
personal, commercial or resort property, or any other stuctures at
risk of flooding.
U.S. Flood Control Corp. offers products and systems that are easier
to use, more environmentally sensitive and less expensive than conventional
methods.
The core business of U.S. Flood Control Corp. is to provide emergency
flood protection services in the United States and worldwide. The
U.S. Flood Control Corp. is involved in the manufacturing, distribution,
sales and rental of the emergency flood control equipment. By using
"water to fight water" the need to erect sandbag dikes
during or in anticipation of a flood has been eliminated.
The unique, affordable and effective system, which replaces sandbags,
is comprised of a series of engineered interlocking flexible tubes
that are inflated with water to form an impervious temporary dam.
The tubes are reusable and are constructed from an extremely rugged
and puncture resistant material. The dam may be configured to control
floods of varying depths by stacking and joining the segments in
a pyramid shape. Also, the segments can be linked together seamlessly
to form any length of dam required.
Property damage from future floods is inevitable, predictable and
largely preventable. Global warming is causing a wide variety of
climate changes and all experts agree we are going to experience
more floods in more areas in the years to come. The time is now
to take proactive measures to mitigate flood damage. By adopting
and integrating this emergency flood control equipment into existing
flood control strategies a significant amount of property damage
can be avoided.
This system has already proven to be a valuable tool in fighting
floods and many government agencies, large corporations and individuals
have adopted its use. By expanding the products and services of
the company, it is management's hope that the emergency flood control
system will become the primary method of providing temporary dams
when emergency flood relief is required in the future.
This U.S. company has been purchased by entrepreneur, Paul Vickers,
with the encouragement of the Y.E.O (Young Entrepreneurs Organization).
The members convinced him that this is a great opportunity for environmental
protection and for business.
It is known that 90% of flood damage in the United States
alone, with totals of over $30 billion in damage, is in less
than 1 meter of water.
